My thoughts on COMPASSION
Compassion is one of the virtues humans live by. God gave us the five senses and God also gave us this unique feature only found in the human species. Compassion goes far beyond our five senses; it probes deep into our inner landscape where actualization of various degrees can happen within us. It makes us sad, emotional and drives us to look for a divine power in God. It calls to God for mercy and help. It moves the soul as we sympathize at the sight of sin, sorrow and suffering including the wants and the woes of others. When we are overwhelmed with compassion, we normally break out in prayer for others. We would ask for divine intervention to heal the sick and lift the sufferings of those maimed.
It is through compassion that we prepare ourselves for natural disasters, using science and technology to help us in our effort to make the world a safer place for all to live. Compassion strikes out at the very heart of our existence. It exists in all of us.
