Sensory Withdrawal
Sensory withdrawal is a form of meditation. It is a deliberate way to stop the body’s sense organs from going out into the so-called “objects of pleasure “which are found all around us. It has 2 parts, one is to stop looking out (detach the mind from objects of pleasure) and the other is to look inwards (at self for self improvement). Sensory withdrawal can be applied to bad habits like trying to give up smoking, etc.
